Milonga is lively, rhythmic and full of personality. It shares the connection and embrace of Argentine Tango, but brings a faster, more playful energy that makes it one of the most enjoyable dances on the social dance floor.

Our Milonga Beginners course is designed to introduce you to Milonga step by step, giving you the foundations you need to feel comfortable with its rhythm, movement and character.

You don’t need previous Milonga experience. We focus on helping you understand the music, develop your connection and learn to move naturally with your partner rather than simply memorising combinations.

• Milonga rhythm & timing — learn to recognise the music and stay comfortably on beat.
• Connection & communication — develop a clear, comfortable embrace and better leading and following.
• Musicality & flow — start responding to the different accents, energy and character of Milonga music.

• Balance & technique — improve your posture, control, weight transfers and coordination.
• Confidence on the dance floor — remove the feeling of “I don’t know what to do when Milonga starts” and actually enjoy dancing it.

Who is it for?

This course is ideal if you are new to Milonga, if you already dance Argentine Tango but normally sit out the Milonga tandas, or if you have tried Milonga before but want to build stronger foundations.

The goal is simple: to give you the confidence and tools to hear a Milonga, invite a partner to dance, and enjoy it.
